Chapter 2 of the Matrix Prequels

The Animatrix is a planned animated series released on the web in four monthly installments, with several more debuting on a seperate DVD after Matrix: Reloaded is released. The entire series was either written or closely supervised by the directors of the films, the Wachowski Brothers.

The series is designed the be a background into the strange world of The Matrix. The first episode, “The Second Renaissance: Part 1” was a mind-blowing 10 minute ride into the origin of The Matrix, and how the machines started to take over society and human life. PROGRAM. the second in the four-part saga, is about a woman using a training simulation to hone her mind and skills. She meets an old friend inside who makes a strange and upsetting proposition: go back to The Matrix.
