Red Vs. Blue, Episode 6: 1.21 Giga-whats?

Tucker returns! And he’s time travelling!
For those of you unfamiliar with the series, Red Vs. Blue is an ongoing web series featuring the graphics from the XBOX game Halo. The story takes place on a deserted planet, save for two factions: The Red Team and The Blue Team.

The series was created by recording the “Master Chief” character from the video game doing normal actions (head movements, running, etc) and overdubbing it with actors to create dialogue between the characters. This internet show has some of the best dialogue I’ve seen since Kevin Smith’s “Clerks.”

This week’s episode features the return of Tucker (who disappeared into a transporter and didn’t come out), a confrontation between Red vs Blue, and the problem with the “Puma”‘s Tejano Music.

Episode 6 Info

Episode 6 — 1.21 Giga-whats? is now online. Check the Blood Gulch Chronicles page to download. If you have trouble viewing the DivX video, please read all the warnings.

This week has been a tough one. We have been working on the next episode of BGC and the E3 video we will be showing for Bungie next week in Los Angeles. I am very happy that we have been able to maintain a weekly release schedule for the vids. Actually, we are a bit ahead of that. This week will mark 9 videos released in 6 weeks.

There have been an enormous amount of e-mails regarding the release schedule of the videos. It’s in the FAQ already, but here is a summary:

Blood Gulch Chronicles Season 1 is expected to be 22 videos over 26 weeks (6 months). We don’t have any plans yet for what will happen after that. In weeks where we have a new video, we use the following release schedule:

* Video Release Schedule

* Friday morning — Sponsors and HiRes Sponsors
* Sunday Morning — Registered Forum Members
* Sunday Afternoon — Posted on Website

We like to give our sponsors at least two days lead time on the website so that they can download before we get linked on different sites (e.g. Fark). For more information about sponsorships, please read the RvB Donation FAQ.
