Life & The Friday Five

It’s that time of year again, folks. When I work 50-60 hour work weeks trying to get together our biggest phone book for publication. As usual that means that posts around here are going to get slim for the next couple weeks.

The bonus side is, when we started on this book back in October my bosses promised if we cleared over $1 Million in revenue when it closed they’d take us on a company paid vacation to wherever we all voted on.

The book closed on Wednesday, and the total was about $22k over the $1mil mark. We vote on Monday, but so far it looks like i’ll be going on a cruise to the Caribbean in July. I really love my job. :)

So without further adieu, here’s The Friday Five:

At this moment, what is your favorite…

1. …song?
Has to be “Meglomaniac” by Incubus off their upcoming album A Crow Left Of the Murder which comes out on February 2, 2004. That song is just kick ass, and the video is one of the more controversial statements i’ve seen in a long time. Check it out at Incubus’s website.

2. …food?
As silly as it sounds, I just found the joy of salads. I had gotten so tired of a sandwich for lunch, and earlier this week I had run out of bread, so I chopped up some lunch meat and threw it in a salad with ranch and cheddar cheese. Man that was awesome.

3. …tv show?
Damn.. Well I love Alias like no other, but I think the show I look forward to more than any other at the moment is the new season of The Chappelle Show on Comedy Central. Dave Chappelle is one of the funniest comedians out there today and his show is always non-stop funny. For instance this week a sketch was called “The Racial Draft” that had the Asian race “drafting” the entire Wu Tang Clan. Crazy.

4. …scent?
The smell of barbeque. For some reason that’s the first thing that popped into mind.

5. …quote?
“My hands are dirty. I like them that way; shows who I am” – Nelly Furtado, “Fresh Off The Boat”

Thanks! I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve never been on a cruise before, so this should be an experience. July can’t get here any quicker!
