Blarg!

How is it possible that I go from three months of doing pretty much nothing to being so completely busy that I barely have time to clean my house?

It’s possible, and I’m loving it (at the moment.) My DJ gig just picked up every Saturday night for February, we’re about to sign another club for Friday nights, and on top of that I’m still getting used to working a full time job again. It’s been a long time since when I’ve had to say the words “let me check my schedule”.

Got plenty of new toys with the awesome new job. First I got a brand new IBM Thinkpad T42 laptop to work on (Pentium 4M 1.7ghz, 1gig PC3200 DDR, ATI Radeon 9600, 80gb HD), plus an awesome Blackberry cell phone.

Most people immediately ask “What’s a Blackberry?” The funny thing is, I didn’t really know before I got one, either. It’s basically a cell phone that features a full (or compact) keyboard, but it’s mostly gives you the ability to check and respond to e-mail constantly. For someone in IT who needs to respond to requests all day, it’s a blessing. The picture to the left is the one I have now. It’s a T-Mobile Blackberry 7100T. It’s freakin awesome.

I took a trip last weekend to Lake Buchanan that I will post another article about soon with pictures. It’s hopefully one of many opportunities I will have to travel this year. More later!
