Post Something, Dammit!

By popular demand (happy now, Smokin?) I’m posting something. I suppose I should post more often, but either due to laziness or just lack of anything interesting to talk about I let it go for a few weeks. I guess reading nothing is better than reading ABOUT nothing. (shrug)

Well the reason lately is actually kinda mushy. If you are a diabetic, or get grossed out by lovey-dovey crap, you might want to skip this.

The reason I haven’t been posting lately is that i’m in love. Yes, the kind that involves another person. Basically, I found the woman of my dreams, or rather she found me. I’ve actually known her since I was about 15-16 years old when we met in high school. She rode the bus with me and we were practically inseperable back then, but we never took it to that level. We both got in pretty committed relationships after high school and lost touch.

Lucky for me, Classmates.com exists and I had kept up with updating my contact info. She contacted me out of the blue a few months back through that website and we’ve been talking almost non-stop since then. She lives upstate at the moment and is planning to move back to Texas sometime soon. The strangest part is that even after so many years apart, it’s like we never lost contact at all. I would have assumed that after so much time had passed that we’d have nothing in common anymore. I was so wrong, we have even more now.

I’ve been floating on a cloud lately, so happy and friendly with everyone, which is not my normal behavoir. Normally i’m very shy and antisocial, but she seems to bring out the very best in me. I can’t wait to have her here with me.

Hopefully I haven’t grossed TOO many of you out with all my schmoopy talk. I’m just really happy now and I guess that’s all that is important.

:D

I think it’s cool. :-) Glad you posted. Usually when people drop outta sight online it’s because something bad has happened (illness, injury, death in the family, etc); I’m glad something good is happening! :-)
