(Almost) 50 Bands I Have Seen Live

The Offspring was my first "official" concert

I love live music. Mainstream, local, indy, street musician, whatever. I just love listening to music, and love seeing it performed in front of me even more.

I’ve been going to concerts since I was 15, and about 10 years ago I started keeping a spreadsheet of all the bands I’ve seen, where, and who with. While it’s also an incredibly nerdy thing to do, it’s also helped with my poor memory.

Per my spreadsheet I’ve seen 47 different bands perform live, but in some cases I’ve seen one act multiple times like Dave Matthews Band and Incubus. I’ve also not included the opening acts for some of the older concerts, but it’s very well possible they became famous and I’ve just forgotten.

Without further ado, here’s my list of (almost) 50 Bands i’ve seen play live:

  1. The Beach Boys – Saw them perform after a Houston Astros game when I was a little boy
