Tumultuous Tuesday

Okay, not really, I just liked how that sounded. It’s actually a pretty good day today. I’m on week 2 of the new job and everything is going really well. Still “learning the ropes” so to speak, but so far only a few things have completely befuddled me. Mostly network-related stuff, but that’s mostly greek to me anyway. All comes with time.

I’m used to the new sleeping schedule now. I usually pop my eyes open before my alarm clock even goes off at 6:30am, and I don’t feel nearly as groggy anymore. I still (and always will) miss my sleeping-till-noon schedule, but that’s nothing new. I’d much rather be getting paid instead of sleeping all day.

I’ve been hard at work on other projects, as well. The “other Sean” (ie my boss) has given me the task of designing the “My Blue Houston” box set DVD, which includes a web-layout, audio commentary, photo galleries, as well as many other miscellaneous features from the faux-show. I’m about 90% complete on the whole layout and plan to finish by tomorrow afternoon. The “Release Party” is this Saturday night, so I have to have it finished by tomorrow so we can start mass-duplicating the DVD’s for the Box Set.

I’ll post a few screenshots of the design a little later, and after Saturday i’ll have a few photos to share of the party itself, which is promising itself to be a wild affair. Until then, back to work!
